REMARRIAGE

V. Adultery or fornication committed after a a contract, being detected before marriage, giveth just occasion to the innocent party to dissolve that contract.  In the case of adultery after marriage, it is lawful for the innocent party to sue out a divorce:  and, after the divorce, to marry another, as if the offending party were dead.

Matthew 1:18; 5:31; 19:9;  Romans 7:2

VI. Although the corruption of man be such as is apt to study arguments unduly to put asunder those whom God hath joined together in marriage: yet, nothing but adultery, or such wilful desertion as can no way be remedied by the Church, or civil magistrate, is cause sufficient of dissolving the bond of marriage:  wherein, a public and orderly course of proceedings is to be observed; and the persons concerned in it not left to their own wills, and discretion, in their own case.

Matthew 19:8;  1 Corinthians 7:14;  Matthew 19:6;  Deuteronomy 24:1

Westminster Confession of Faith

We again quote from Conrad Murrell:

The first thing God said about man was, “It is not good that the man should be alone.”  That is a primary basic truth, and it overshadows all subsequent things that are said about the marital status of men.  God made the male with deep physical and psychological needs for a female.  And He made the woman with the same needs for a man.  Exceptions are made when celibacy is necessary for various reasons (Matt. 19:11-12).  But these cases are the rare exceptions.  Voluntary celibacy is possible only if a man is specially gifted for it.  For the man who has not the gift of celibacy, there is only one alternative: fornication.  Therefore the apostle concurs: Nevertheless to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife and let every woman have her own husband” (I Cor. 7:2).

It does no good to berate someone for his inability to suppress himself.  Could you, in a similar situation?  God does not lade upon men heavy burdens grievous to be borne.  Religious fanatics do that.  The scriptures say, “Let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn” (I Cor. 7:9).  (Emphasis mine)
